Who we are
The LAPF is a non-profit organization dedicated to the progress and promotion of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology among Latin American pathologists in North America as well as the pathology community in Latin America. It is also tasked to promote the growth of the Latin American community within the profession through educational and networking opportunities.
The Foundation was created in 1980. During its 20 years of existence the Foundation has gathered practicing pathologists in North America and Latin America, all united by their love to the specialty and its importance to the health of the Latin American population. The LAPF carries out its mission through academic, scientific, and professional exchanges via a collaborative network and is composed of more than 200 members from different parts of the world, including North, Central and South America, Spain, and Italy.
